Uni

Yamamoto Baits

Uni

Designed with a unique TPE formula, this urchin-style bait features bulbed appendages that displace more water and create a natural shimmy with every movement of the rod tip. When weighted on the fall, the Uni delivers a subtle quivering action that mimics natural forage and keeps fish committed. Ideal for finesse applications, the Uni excels on a Jika rig and Neko rig when targeting pressured or finicky bass.

Yamamoto Custom TPE Formula

Utilizing a proprietary JDM TPE plastic formula, the Uni combines unmatched durability with a unique matte finish for a more natural presentation. The natural buoyancy of the TPE works against any weighted rig to help keep the bait higher in the water column and suspended in the strike zone longer. Its high elasticity allows the Uni to pulse and displace water with every snap of the rod before quickly rebounding back to its original shape. Combined with an extremely tear-resistant construction, the Uni is built to withstand repeated strikes so anglers can spend more time fishing and less time replacing baits.

NAIL WEIGHT WITH TREBLE HOOK

For open-water applications, rig the Uni on a #4–#3 treble hook with a 1/32oz–1/16oz tungsten nail weight.

NEKO RIG

Rig the Uni on a #1 finesse wacky Neko hook with a 1/32oz–1/16oz tungsten nail weight to maximize the bait’s ability to pulse and push water with each snap of the rod.

JIKA RIG

Pair the Uni with a #1–1/0 finesse wacky hook and a 1/8oz drop shot weight using a Jika attachment to unlock the bait’s unique rolling action with quick twitches of the rod.

DROP SHOT

Rig the Uni on a #2–#1 drop shot nose hook with a 3/16oz–3/8oz drop shot weight to keep the bait suspended in the strike zone for extended periods.
